The Retreat are 40 acres of native bush surrounded by the Fitzgerald River National Park, a UNESCO recognised Biosphere Reserve with extremely diverse flora and fauna, rugged mountain ranges, beaches, gorges and inlets. Guests can enjoy our nature walks with stunning views, our nature information centre and the heritage listed Homestead from 1858, which adds a special atmosphere. Quaalup is the perfect gateway to a range of attractions, eg. West Mount Barren; Gairdner River; Point Ann (only 30km from us), the only bay in WA where whales come to calve in large numbers ( July - November); wildflowers, like the Qualup Bell or Hakea Victoria.
